Young Lions of Zion

I recorded the gospel CD Your Sanctuary with my group at the Cornerstone Community Church of God in Christ in October, 2003. The CD features Lonnie Sanders on vocals and nine songs that I composed. If you would like to purchase a CD, please email me. The CDs are $15.

The Jazz Evangelists

I recorded this demo with my jazz quartet, the Jazz Evangelists, in December, 2003.

About the group: The Jazz Evangelists has gigged in the Portland area for two years. We play originals and standards in the straight-ahead tradition. In this group I play saxophone and flute, Gene Denardo is on guitar, Keith Brush is on bass, and Ken Ollis is on drums. Gene and I co-lead the group. Gene graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a minor in music, and studied under Bobby Hutcherson there. He has taught jazz improvization classes at the University of Montana and teaches guitar in Portland. He has played in various groups in Bend, Eugene, Salem and Portland. Ken is a Portland State University instructor, and has played professionally in the Portland area for six years. Keith has played professionally in the Portland area for eight years.
